[ARTICLE] 5 Questions with the Asia’s Got Talent Season 3 Judges Jay Park

After a gruelling ten weeks, Asia’s Got Talent Season 3 is approaching its end. In case you missed it, the Grand Finals of Asia’s Got Talent was telecast worldwide on 4 April 2019. Nine acts – including two Golden Buzzer acts – gave their all in one last shot to impress the audience with their talents.

As we await the results on 11 April 2019, we spoke with the three key people who gave these talents their breakthrough – the judges. Comprised of 16-time Grammy-award winner and music producer David Foster, internationally acclaimed singing sensation Anggun, and multi-platinum recording artist Jay Park, they shared with danamic. some of their favourite and unforgettable moments in the current season of Asia’s Got Talent, as well as what they hope to see in the seasons to come.

1. When it comes to voting, what tips or criteria would you give the audience to assess how good each talent was?

Jay: In Asia’s Got Talent, there are many different types of talent. There’s singing, dancing, magic, variety; so you can’t be an expert in every single field. I think it’s just about how it makes you feel. When you look at it, how does it make you feel? I think that should be a (criterion) – and if (it’s) entertaining.

3. What was the most memorable moment you’ve had on the show since the beginning of the season?

Jay: Mm…for me, it’s when I got some underwear flung at me from the contestants – it was part of the show. Nonetheless, it was very memorable.

4. If you could “revive” one talent back into the Finals, which act would it be?

Jay: For me, I think it would (also be) my Golden Buzzer (act), TK. His magic was good too, but I just enjoyed his personality and there was this energetic presence on stage.

5. What do you hope to see in Season 4 of Asia’s Got Talent?

Jay: I would really like to see a good rapper. There’s a lot of good hip-hop and rappers in Asia, so I think it’s time to see a rapper in Asia’s Got Talent.
